Family has always been given the center of attention in Belarus.

During the National Referendum 2022 some essential amendments concerning family matters were added to the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus. 

On May 15 the International Family Day is celebrated. There are a number of public events dedicated to family which are held at all levels. 

It is obvious that all countries in the world have a lot of traditions connected with family and wedding which is the beginning of a traditional family. 

Since having the basic knowledge of Belarusian and British traditions, knowing their peculiarities and origin opens the mind, and helps understand both the national culture and the cultures of other nations we have decided to do research on this aspect of Belarusian and British cultures.
